The DPPK snap-together range clips together without screws or tools – the two hood halves press-fit around the connector body and cable, with integral clips holding the assembly closed. Assembly is faster than screw-together hoods, and the hood can be opened without a screwdriver when the cable needs to be re-terminated or modified. Suitable for applications where the cable assembly may need to be opened periodically, and for high-volume cable assembly production where speed matters. Available in seven colours (white, light grey, blue, red, black, green, yellow), all at £0.55–£0.99 + VAT depending on shell size – the lowest price point in the Sub D hood range.
Screw-Together: 45° (OS-DVPK) and Straight (OS-DTPPK)
The OS-DVPK (45° cable exit) and OS-DTPPK (straight cable exit) are screw-together plastic hoods — the two halves are secured with machine screws, providing a more rigid, permanent assembly than snap-together. The screw-together construction is preferred for cable assemblies that will not need to be opened after installation, and where a more secure closure is required (vibration environments, external field cables that may be handled roughly). The 45° exit reduces assembly depth behind a panel; the straight exit suits free-hanging and bench-top cable assemblies. Both available in standard grey, £0.71–£1.25 + VAT.
