Standard Density vs High Density

High-density (HDS) connectors fit more contacts into the same shell using tighter 2.29mm spacing, 15, 26, 44, 62, or 78-way in DE, DB, DC, DD, and DF shells. When replacing or extending an existing system, confirm whether the connector is standard or high density before ordering; they are not interchangeable even when the shell looks the same size.
